Abstract: Warm dense matter (WDM) is the matter between conventional condensed matter and classical plasmas, which is in high pressure and temperature about less than Fermi temperature with partial degeneracy and exists largely in universe and laboratory. The main feature of the WDM is the partial ionization effect of atoms and thus the dynamic polarization (screen) to particles. In such a system, electrons, ions, atoms, molecules and clusters coexist and interact each other. The study of WDM is crucial for understanding the evolution of planets, earth mantle, inertial confinement fusion (ICF) implosion dynamics, and the transition of matter from a condensed state to a high energy density state, which theory and experiment are extremely challenging. In this report, we present the polarization effect due to partial ionization, which results in self-energy shift of the dressed particles(quasi-particles)and bound electrons and leads to bound energy level broadening, shit and merging, and a lowing of the continuum edge and bounding energies, and discuss the boundaries of the ionization onset and the transition from quantum to classical statistics as well. We developed a called “Extended First-Principle QMD” under Born approximation to improve the traditional QMD code, which greatly reduces the amount of computations with high precision to investigate the WDM system.
